The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandes takes a swing at Badger's ribcage but misses.
Badger looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Badger slaps away a takedown attempt from Fernandes, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fernandes throws a right and a left that Badger avoids nicely.
Fernandes throws a head kick that misses.
Badger shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Badger was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fernandes sneaks back into half guard.
Badger lands strikes from half guard.
Fernandes wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fernandes has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Badger. Oh but Fernandes has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Badger goes limp - he's gone! Fernandes jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
