Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julian Balenzano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neander Obeh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julian Balenzano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Neander Obeh! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balenzano looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Balenzano looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Balenzano fails with a takedown attempt. Obeh throws a series of punches but Balenzano avoids them all with ease. Obeh tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Balenzano doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Obeh. Obeh looks gassed! Balenzano keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Balenzano is trying to stand back up but Obeh is controlling him

Balenzano reaches up and holds on to Obeh to control the position. Balenzano is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Obeh landing punches. Obeh takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Obeh is landing with some decent strikes but Balenzano is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Obeh breaks from Balenzano's wrist control and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Neander Obeh dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Balenzano wants to clinch and Obeh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Balenzano won't be happy with that. Balenzano tries to escape but Obeh is in control. Balenzano is trying to control Obeh's posture but Obeh avoids it. Obeh just content to control the position. Balenzano is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Balenzano trying to hold on to Obeh's head to control him but Obeh postures up.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Balenzano taking some punishment here, with Obeh in his half guard. Balenzano keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Obeh lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Obeh is pressing down on Balenzano's thigh, looking to free his foot. Balenzano is holding on for now. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Obeh drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Obeh controls from within his opponent's guard. Balenzano has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Obeh off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Obeh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Obeh scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Balenzano parries the strikes from Obeh easily there. Obeh is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Balenzano to escape.

You can see the frustration on Balenzano's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Balenzano is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Obeh has just dragged him back down to the mat. Balenzano misses with a strike from the bottom. Balenzano can't do much from the bottom here. Balenzano is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Obeh wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Balenzano, who protects the arm well. Obeh working the ground and pound but Balenzano is defending the strikes. Obeh working away. Balenzano wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Balenzano is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Obeh lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Balenzano hang on? Neander Obeh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight! Neander Obeh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Obeh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
