Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Paul Leblanc! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leblanc misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Leblanc ducks under a wild hook from Pierre. Leblanc tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pierre sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Leblanc somewhat. Nice takedown defense from Pierre. No joy for Leblanc on that attempt. Jay Pierre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Paul Leblanc. Pierre throws a leg kick but Leblanc moved away. Leblanc tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pierre defends well and Leblanc ends up having to push Pierre into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Pierre lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Pierre has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pierre tries to avoid it but Leblanc manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pierre to the ground. Pierre escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Leblanc shoots in and drives through. Pierre sprawls well. Jay Pierre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Paul Leblanc. Pierre pushes Leblanc up against the cage in a clinch. Pierre's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jean Paul Leblanc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pierre dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Pierre looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Leblanc with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Pierre has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pierre prevents Leblanc from getting the reversal. Pierre looking to finish Leblanc with some ground and pound. This is bad for Leblanc!

Leblanc is rocked! Leblanc is looking to get to half guard. A big strike lands for Pierre! That's really hurt Leblanc and he's turned his back - Pierre keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Pierre jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
