Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Eye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Eye! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Martin Teller! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eye throws a lazy body kick and Teller counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Eye is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eye working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Teller. Eye has momentary wrist control but Teller slips an elbow through the middle. Eye is trying to keep Teller in close.
Teller is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Teller throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Eye avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Teller sitting in guard, not really doing much. Teller landing with the ground and pound. Eye trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eye looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Teller makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Teller landing with the ground and pound. Teller content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Eye is looking for a triangle here but Teller uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Teller works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Teller trying to control the position but Eye is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Eye's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Eye seems a little lost for a moment, as Teller dominates the positioning. Eye regains half guard. Teller lands with a punch from half guard. Eye is trying to get back to full guard. Teller lands with a punch from half guard. Eye is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Teller scores with a couple of nice shots. Eye is looking to improve his position.

Eye keeping moving, preventing Teller from controlling successfully. Teller connects with a couple of short punches. Teller wants to control from the top but Eye keeps moving. Teller with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Teller passes into half guard. Teller scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Teller trying to control from Eye's half guard. Eye has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Eye keeping moving, preventing Teller from controlling successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Teller lands a couple of decent looking shots. Eye is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Teller counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Teller connects with a nice short shot to Eye's temple. Eye actively working from the bottom here. Teller landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Eye wants to improve his position but Teller is controlling well.

Eye has hold of Teller's hands but Teller slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Eye has his hands clasped together around Teller's back. He's all about the action.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Eye is rocked! Eye wants to get back to full guard. Teller lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Oh Eye is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Teller lands with a punch from half guard. Eye gets back to full guard.
Eye seems to have got his legs back now. Teller scoring with punches to the head and body. Eye looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Teller must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Teller controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Teller is continuing to stall. Teller connects with a couple of short punches. Teller avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Teller misses with an uppercut. Eye saw that one coming. Teller tries to score a power double leg takedown but Eye sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Teller somewhat. Teller shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Teller was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eye gets back to half guard. Teller slips a nice elbow through Eye's hands, connecting with Eye's forehead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Teller has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Eye regains half guard. Eye regains full guard. Nicely done. Teller trying to control the position from guard on top but Eye is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Eye escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Teller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Teller wants to control from the top but Eye keeps moving. Teller has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Teller postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Teller's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Teller stands up over Eye, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Eye throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

And that's the end of the fight! Martin Teller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Teller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
