Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deangelo Sturtsil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pithe Canthropus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Canthropus comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Pizzaman - Trippin' On Sunshine kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Deangelo Sturtsil has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Deangelo Sturtsil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
37 - 31 - 2, fighting out of London, Pithe Canthropus! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sturtsil steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Canthropus. That one must have hurt. Canthropus is looking to clinch but Sturtsil is avoiding it.
Sturtsil changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Sturtsil fails with a takedown attempt. That kick from Canthropus tenderised Sturtsil's leg. Sturtsil is trying to keep his angry face on. Canthropus scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Sturtsil takes a shot right to the bread basket. Canthropus leaves Sturtsil with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sturtsil fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Canthropus avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deangelo Sturtsil. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A momentary lapse in concentration from Sturtsil enables Canthropus to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sturtsil manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Canthropus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sturtsil has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Canthropus has managed to get both his arms back between Sturtsil's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Canthropus trying to control but Sturtsil is working from the bottom. Sturtsil throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sturtsil is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Canthropus defends well. Canthropus stands up over Sturtsil, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Canthropus wants to pass the guard but Sturtsil is keeping the position. Canthropus throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sturtsil working for a triangle but Canthropus defends it easily.

An out of breath Deangelo Sturtsil thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. The defeated Pithe Canthropus had this to say: 'Crap. I lost. That sucks.'.
