Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reijo Rento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly comes into the arena with Black Belt Jones Theme Song, you Jive Turkey! blaring out of the sound system. Rento has chosen Watch Me as his entrance music. Reijo Rento has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jim Kelly's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Rento looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rento has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rento fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rento gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kelly counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Rento tries to clinch there but Kelly circles away.
Rento digs a good body shot into Kelly's ribs.
Kelly uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rento.
Kelly leaves Rento with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kelly throws a quick counter head kick but Rento was just out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
