Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Petru Dijieo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sparky Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: im comin. Sparky Jenkins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dijieo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jenkins is fending him off so far but Dijieo persists. Nope, Jenkins circles away and we're back to standing.
A big left from Dijieo misses.

so Dijieo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dijieo trying to control but Jenkins is working from the bottom.
Dijieo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jenkins works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dijieo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dijieo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jenkins had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dijieo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jenkins Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dijieo's back instead.
Jenkins doesn't have the hooks in and Dijieo manages to turn into his guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Jenkins is working to tighten is grip on Dijieo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dijieo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jenkins is really squeezing tight and eventually Dijieo passes out! Jenkins breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
