The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes throws a sloppy head kick and Wilson moves out of range easily.
Wilson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wilson leaves Hughes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hughes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wilson tries to work over Hughes's front leg with a kick but Hughes checks it.
Hughes throws a low kick but it's checked well by Wilson.
Wilson scores with a shot to the body.
Wilson lands with a shot to the body.
Wilson tries a head kick but it misses.
Wilson throws the kick towards the body but Hughes avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wilson jabs Hughes right on the nose. Hughes blinks but takes it well.

And Hughes tries to counter it with a takedown but Wilson pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Wilson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Hughes changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hughes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wilson is looking to wear down Hughes with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Hughes looks to score with a jab to the body but Wilson is just out of range.

so Hughes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Hughes is posturing up here but Wilson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Hughes tries to roll out but it's too tight and Hughes has to tap! Slick submission there by Wilson!

A very excited looking Lee Wilson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
