Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Marston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Moraes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Marston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Moraes!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marston gets caught napping as Moraes dives in and scores a takedown. Marston manages to retain guard.
Marston might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Marston looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marston has his hands on Moraes's head, controlling the position.

Moraes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marston has control of Moraes's left arm, preventing Moraes from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moraes drops back looking for a leg! Marston is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Marston manages to kick Moraes off! Moraes jumps back into Marston's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marston looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Moraes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Marston wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Moraes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Marston is looking for a sweep. Moraes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Moraes is trying to work for a kimura but Marston is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marston is looking to get back to full guard here but Moraes has managed to pass to side control instead.
Marston tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Moraes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Moraes working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Marston wants to control but Moraes postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Moraes is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marston knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Moraes thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Marston tries to bench press Moraes off him but Moraes keeps the position.
Marston pushes Moraes away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Moraes gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Moraes working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Moraes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Marston, who protects the arm well.
Marston gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Moraes is working for a kimura but Marston is defending it quite comfortably.

Moraes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diego Moraes dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Moraes takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Marston stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marston wants it to stay on the feet.
Marston swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Marston moves into range and connects with a jab.
Marston just misses with a punch to the body.
Moraes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Marston avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moraes closes the distance and clinches up with Marston, looking for a takedown. Moraes pushes Marston against the cage but Marston circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Marston was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lucas Marston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Moraes.

and Marston counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Moraes thinking.
Marston thuds a left hand into Moraes's body.
Moraes is breathing heavily.

Marston sends Moraes crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Marston is motioning to the referee to let Moraes up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


It looks like Diego Moraes has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marston misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lucas Marston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marston lands a right hook to the body.
Moraes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Moraes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


Moraes is rocked!
Marston fakes the body blow, causing Moraes to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Moraes goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lucas Marston!
