Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Hayes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripper bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hayes shoots in for a takedown but Ripper shows good takedown defense.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hayes shoots in but Ripper avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hayes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ripper can pounce on him.

Ripper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hayes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ripper connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hayes momentarily.

That was a close round but I would say that Billy Hayes will probably get the nod.

Ripper stuns Hayes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ripper keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ripper turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jack Ripper is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A good leg kick by Ripper.
A left and a right from Ripper both land. Nice combination.

Ripper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice takedown defense from Ripper. No joy for Hayes on that attempt.
Nice uppercut there from Ripper.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ripper throws a series of punches but Hayes avoids them all with ease.
Ripper's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Ripper duly obliges.

Jack Ripper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ripper has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
