Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yang Terbaik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newton comes to the ring accompanied by She Knows. Terbaik has chosen Motörhead - Ace Of Spades as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Terbaik counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Newton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Terbaik.
Terbaik throws a lazy head kick
and Newton counters with a series of strikes. Terbaik will be more careful next time no doubt.
A jab from Newton does it's job there.
Terbaik circles away from the clinch attempt.
Newton throws a body punch but Terbaik moves out of range.
Terbaik looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Newton connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Newton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Terbaik pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Newton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Newton blocks a jab.
Sloppy strikes from Terbaik. Those never looked like landing.

Newton ducks right into an uppercut from Terbaik.
We've been hearing reports that Newton has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Newton misses with a few strikes there.
Terbaik tries a head kick but it misses.

and Terbaik counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Christopher Newton has been cut.

Yang Terbaik is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Terbaik fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Newton.
Newton clinches up against the ropes.
Terbaik breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Terbaik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Newton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Newton tries for a kimura but Terbaik is defending well.
Newton has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Newton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Terbaik prevents a body shot from Newton.

Newton has Terbaik pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Terbaik manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Terbaik gets through Newton's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Newton is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Terbaik can't fight it off and eventually Newton manages to take the fight to the floor. Terbaik looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Newton wants to control from the top but Terbaik keeps moving.
Newton has gone for a leg lock! Terbaik slips out almost immediately though and dives into Newton's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Newton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Terbaik gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Terbaik got a little sloppy there for a moment and Newton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Terbaik has managed to get both his arms back between Newton's legs - danger averted.

Newton wants to stand and escape but Terbaik is having none of it.
Newton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Newton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Terbaik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Newton is tightening it up a little... Terbaik has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Terbaik reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Terbaik taps out! Nice BJJ there by Newton!
