Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Sokolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bobby Bones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fedor Sokolov! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy left from Sokolov finds it's target. A telegraphed right hand from Sokolov misses the target. Sokolov misses with a straight left. Sokolov cracks Bones with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Bones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sokolov.

Bones drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sokolov sprawls and moves away. Sokolov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bones sees it coming and avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sokolov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bones. Bones changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Bones staying out of range there. Bones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sokolov throws an off balance right hand
and Bones counters with a nice double leg into guard. Sokolov seems keen to control Bones's posture. Bones forces his way into half guard. Bones seems to be working for a kimura but Sokolov defends the submission attempt. Bones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sokolov is just riding it out for now. Bones eventually gives up the hold. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bones has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sokolov has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sokolov tries to hold on but Bones postures up. Bones looking for a guillotine from mount but Sokolov is having none of it. Bones is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Bones!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bobby Bones! Our winner, Bobby Bones, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
