Sabonis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, James Brown - Superbad. Kalashnikov has chosen Leningrad Cowboys - Those Were The Days as his entrance music. Arvydas Sabonis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Vadim Kalashnikov's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabonis cracks Kalashnikov with an open hand slap.
Sabonis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sabonis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kalashnikov throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kalashnikov walks into a left hand.
Kalashnikov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sabonis. Sabonis circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Donk. Kalashnikov catches Sabonis right on the button with a cross.
Kalashnikov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kalashnikov checks a leg kick.
Kalashnikov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kalashnikov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sabonis tried to counter with a leg kick but Kalashnikov avoided it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kalashnikov tests Sabonis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kalashnikov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sabonis.
Sabonis closes the distance and pushes Kalashnikov back into the cage.
Kalashnikov struggles to land a body shot inside as Sabonis controls his hands.
Kalashnikov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sabonis has been working on his boxing with his coaches at MMA Sanok Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Sabonis tries to clinch up but Kalashnikov circles away and keeps his distance.
Kalashnikov scores with a jab to the head.
Sabonis drops his hands momentarily and Kalashnikov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Kalashnikov moves away from the strike by Sabonis.
Kalashnikov lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Sabonis.
Kalashnikov takes a kick to the side of the head.

Sabonis lands a front kick.
Kalashnikov is still on wobbly legs! Can Sabonis finish him?
Kalashnikov looks winded!
Sabonis darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Kalashnikov's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Sabonis before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Arvydas Sabonis!
In his post fight interview, Arvydas Sabonis started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
