Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tom Cirus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cirus kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lonely Boy - The Black Keys. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cirus lands a head shot. Bruce gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. A head punch blocked on the inside by Cirus. Cirus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cirus landing a few strikes. Cirus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cirus lands an elbow. The ground and pound from Cirus seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Cirus. Bruce has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bruce pushes Cirus away and creates a bit of space to escape. Bruce avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Cirus. Bruce takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The referee asks Cirus politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Cirus prefers to stall for the moment though. Bruce takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Bruce is rocked! Cirus in side control, throwing shots but Bruce defends. Bruce is still in real trouble! Can Cirus finish him? Cirus looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bruce is avoiding damage well.
