The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Hardwood as Tavi shoots in.
As Tavi backs off Hardwood throws a huge counter combo but Tavi manages to avoid it all.
Tavi fails with the takedown
and Hardwood connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tavi fails to land the takedown.
Hardwood is looking for the big counter here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rikki Tavi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tavi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hardwood but Hardwood pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hardwood throws out a counter right but Tavi avoids it with no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Hardwood counters with a crisp right hand that drops Tavi! Hardwood lets Tavi back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Tavi darts in trying to clinch
and Hardwood counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
