Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Macadam Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Roofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roofer has chosen Jonesmann Feat. Azad - Der Soldat James Rhyme as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Macadam Baird!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Roofer!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roofer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Baird changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
We've been informed that Roofer has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Roofer throws a lazy body kick
enabling Baird to counter with a crisp jab.

Baird changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Roofer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Roofer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Baird wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Baird sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Roofer is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
We've been hearing good reports from Baird's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Baird is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Roofer's shoulder. That is not cool.
Baird wants to lay and pray for a moment but Roofer keeps working.
Roofer tries to buck Baird off but Baird is having none of it.

Roofer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Baird is looking to control Roofer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Baird avoid being mounted?

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Baird holds on and takes a little breather.
Roofer wants to get up but he can't break Baird's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Baird shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Roofer is trying to defend but Baird finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Roofer wants to stand back up but Baird manages to pass into side control.
Baird content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Baird feints and as Roofer raises his hands in defense, Baird changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Roofer swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Baird.
Roofer misses with a looping right.
Baird attempts a counter takedown but Roofer avoids it well and moves away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Baird.

Roofer throws a leg kick but Baird moved away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roofer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The fighters circle momentarily. Roofer darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Baird tightens his grip and picks Roofer up, before dumping him to the ground. Roofer manages to land in guard.

Roofer is pulling down on Baird's head. It's preventing any offense from Baird, at least for the moment.

Roofer wriggles free and stands up.

Roofer throws a chopping leg kick but Baird manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Roofer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Baird looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Roofer counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Roofer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Baird tries to counter with a takedown but Roofer is quick to defend against it.

Baird jumps guard but Roofer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Baird dives in and grabs Roofer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Roofer pushes down on Baird's head and hops out.
Roofer throws out a counter right but Baird avoids it with no problem.

Baird takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Roofer drops his hands momentarily and Baird takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Roofer, as that shot connected.
Crack! A monster head kick from Roofer and Baird falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Roofer!
