Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miles Harunodo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoliy Lapikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lapikov's choice of entrance music: AC/DC - Hells Bells . Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miles Harunodo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anatoliy Lapikov! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harunodo throws a sloppy head kick and Lapikov moves out of range easily. We've been informed that Lapikov has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Harunodo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Lapikov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Harunodo sees it coming and avoids it easily. Lapikov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lapikov lands a jab to the nose. Lapikov connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Lapikov lands a jab. Harunodo sizes up Lapikov with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Lapikov moves out of range of the strikes. Anatoliy Lapikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harunodo throws a jab but it's blocked by Lapikov. Lapikov scores with a jab. Harunodo acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Harunodo gets caught flat footed, as Lapikov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lapikov showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harunodo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lapikov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Harunodo wants to stand but Lapikov is controlling the position. Lapikov connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Harunodo is looking to stand back up but Lapikov counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Harunodo. Lapikov not doing much here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Lapikov takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Harunodo misses with an uppercut. Lapikov scores with a shot to the body.
Lapikov misses with a hook. Harunodo ducked under it nicely. Harunodo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lapikov.
Lapikov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Harunodo counters with a lovely straight right hand! Harunodo leaves Lapikov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lapikov lands with a hook. Harunodo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Lapikov misses with a looping left. Lapikov takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Harunodo jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Lapikov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Harunodo is looking to escape. Harunodo trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Lapikov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harunodo is trying to stand up here but Lapikov is controlling him well. Lapikov trying to control the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Lapikov throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Lapikov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Lapikov scores with a jab to the jaw. A jab from Lapikov misses. Harunodo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lapikov. Harunodo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lapikov fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Harunodo misses with a low kick. Lapikov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Harunodo to score with a decent uppercut. Lapikov moves away from the strike by Harunodo. Lapikov throws a jab but it's blocked by Harunodo. Harunodo avoids a lazy jab quite easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lapikov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Harunodo circles away. No joy there for Lapikov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Lapikov moves out of range as Harunodo strikes. Lapikov dips to his left and cracks Harunodo with an uppercut!
That's one minute gone in the round. Harunodo throws a leg kick that misses. Lapikov connects with the punch. Lapikov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Harunodo doesn't seem bothered though. Lapikov tries to bum rush Harunodo with a series of wild strikes but Harunodo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lapikov throws out a leg kick but Harunodo moves out of range and Lapikov only half commits. Harunodo throwing a counter right hand but Lapikov manages to avoid it. Lapikov lands a nice looking body shot.

Lapikov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Harunodo. Lapikov slips a jab from Harunodo. A telegraphed right hand from Lapikov misses the target. An attempted straight right counter from Harunodo misses the target. Harunodo cracks a nice hook into Lapikov's ribs. Harunodo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lapikov on the side of the head. Lapikov throws a hook but Harunodo blocks it. Lapikov digs a good body shot into Harunodo's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Harunodo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Good standup being displayed there by Lapikov as he connects with a hook. Harunodo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lapikov was well out of range. Poor timing from Harunodo. Lapikov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Harunodo wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Lapikov manages to pass to side control. Lapikov passes to side control. Lapikov controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Harunodo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lapikov is controlling him well. Lapikov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Anatoliy Lapikov has got the better of the ground game so far. Lapikov is looking to take a break and control but Harunodo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lapikov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anatoliy Lapikov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

and Lapikov counters with a nice uppercut. Some bone on bone action there as Harunodo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Lapikov misses with a wild body shot. Anatoliy Lapikov seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lapikov takes a swing at Harunodo's ribcage but misses. A swing and a miss from Harunodo. Harunodo scores with a head kick.

After the fight, Miles Harunodo was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
