Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dakker Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Faldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Faldo has chosen Paparazzi Pone - Man Down as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dakker Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Faldo!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Faldo. No joy for Kane on that attempt.
Faldo unleashes a big counter combination but Kane bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Kane shoots in but Faldo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kane shoots in and bounces Faldo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Faldo keeping moving, preventing Kane from controlling successfully.
Kane wants to pass the guard but Faldo is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Kane is working for a submission of some sort.

Kane is trying to work for a kimura but Faldo is defending well.
Faldo has his hands clasped together around Kane's back. He's all about the action.
Faldo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Faldo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

An inside leg kick from Faldo misses.
Kane cracks Faldo with an open hand slap.


It looks like Nick Faldo has been cut.
Faldo looks to land a left hand but Kane moved out of range nicely.
Kane attempts a counter takedown but Faldo avoids it well and moves away.
Kane throws a half hearted mid kick.
Faldo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Faldo looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Kane closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Faldo quickly recovers to half guard.

Kane is looking for a kimura but Faldo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kane to get the leverage.
Kane definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kane content to control rather than advance.

Faldo is positioning himself well to prevent Kane advancing to mount.
Faldo is looking for a sweep. Kane is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Faldo is refusing to be controlled, as Kane sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dakker Kane dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Kane uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Faldo.
Kane tries to clinch up
and Faldo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Faldo scores with the left hand. Kane knows he should have avoided that one.


It looks like Dakker Kane has been cut.
Faldo misses with a low kick.

Kane gets a clinch.
Kane misses with an elbow over the top.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Faldo managing to block the knees to the body from Kane.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kane is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Faldo can do to turn this around?

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Kane just misses with a elbow thrown towards Faldo's brow.

Kane turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Faldo is looking to regain half guard here but Kane keeps moving and retains side control.

Kane tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Kane is looking to take a break and control but Faldo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kane tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kane has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Faldo is looking for a sweep.
Faldo is not content to let Kane control the position.

Kane swings around for an armbar but Faldo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kane's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Faldo preventing the sweep.
Kane is trying to control the position but Faldo postures up.

Kane is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kane has his foot on Faldo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Faldo works his way back into a safe position though.
Kane has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Faldo has passed into side control.
Kane trying to remain calm as Faldo controls from the top position.
Kane is trying to control Faldo's posture but Faldo avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Faldo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kane is looking for a sweep.
Faldo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kane keeps working.
Kane tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Faldo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kane wants to control but Faldo postures up.
Faldo wants to control but Kane is keeping him busy.
Kane tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dakker Kane will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Faldo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kane sizes up Faldo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Faldo blocks a head kick by Kane.
Faldo's corner calls for a 1-2. Faldo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Faldo cracks Kane with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kane throws a jab when Faldo was well out of range.
Faldo throws a combination. Kane tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


Kane is rocked!
Faldo lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Kane head around and knocks him out cold! Faldo hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nick Faldo!
Nick Faldo was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
