Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Welch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kto Rycerz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kto Rycerz is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Welch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kto Rycerz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rycerz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Welch defends it nicely.
A left and a right from Rycerz both land. Nice combination.

Welch gets tackled into the cage by Rycerz. Rycerz maintains the clinch.
Welch is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rycerz is defending well.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rycerz.

Rycerz tries to pull guard but Welch forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Welch throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rycerzs head.
Rycerz jumps guard but Welch turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Bruce Welch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kto Rycerz.

Welch is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rycerz is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Welch to the mat. Welch regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Welch leaves Rycerz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Welch tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rycerz manages to circle out of the way.
Welch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rycerz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Welch walks away with a smile on his face. Rycerz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Rycerz tries to pull guard but Welch won't allow it.
Welch goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rycerz prevents it.

Welch manages to break the clinch.
Rycerz shoots in for a takedown but Welch shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rycerz doesn't manage to clinch there - Welch circles away.
Kto Rycerz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Welch loads up on a big right hand but Rycerz slips the punch.
Welch moves out of range as Rycerz throws a body kick.
Welch tries to counter by clinching up but Rycerz breaks away and moves out of range.

Welch forces Rycerz back against the cage and clinches.

Rycerz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Welch shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rycerz's guard.
Welch distracts Rycerz with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Welch wanted to stand there but Rycerz had control of the position.
Welch makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Rycerz is looking for a triangle but Welch pushes his legs off easily.

Rycerz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Welch lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Rycerz has his foot on Welch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Welch works his way back into a safe position though.

Welch closes the distance and pushes Rycerz back into the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Welch has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rycerz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Welch pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rycerz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Welch sprawls well. Welch wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rycerz gets slowly back to his feet.

Welch has managed to clinch.
Welch is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rycerz pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Rycerz is pushing Welch up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
