Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vaclav Korec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diego Dias is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Dias! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vaclav Korec! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dias fails with the takedown. Dias keeps the fight on the outside. Dias shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dias swats away the attempt to clinch by Korec. Korec bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Korec laying and praying for a moment but Dias takes advantage and regains half guard. Dias really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dias looking for submissions from an awkward position here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dias wants to improve his position but Korec is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dias on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Korec not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Korec is just content to waste time from the top position. Dias takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Korec is looking to work some ground and pound but Dias has wrist control. Korec wants to control from the top but Dias keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dias trying to keep a closed guard but Korec is proving a slippery customer.
Dias utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Korec trying to control but Dias is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Korec shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dias napping and manages to drive through into side control! Korec stands up and beckons Dias to his feet. Korec fails in his attempt to clinch. Korec fails in his attempt to clinch. Dias went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dias shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Korec as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Dias. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dias swats away the attempt to clinch by Korec. Korec looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Dias gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Korec counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Dias pushes Korec off and gets back to his feet. Korec fails with an attempt to clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dias is defended easily by Korec.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Korec tries to clinch but Dias is having none of it. Dias has a takedown stuffed. Korec wants to clinch up but Dias keeps it at a distance. Korec throws a right and a left that Dias avoids nicely. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A momentary lapse in concentration from Korec enables Dias to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Korec manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Dias stopping the sweep attempt from Korec. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dias throws a big right hand that misses. Korec is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dias connects with a couple of short punches. We've been informed that Korec has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Korec is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Korec can do anything to dispel that myth. That was a close round but I would say that Diego Dias will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Korec closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Korec drops an elbow to the side of Dias's head. Dias is pressing down on Korec's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Korec looking to sit in guard and control but Dias gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Dias scoring with some ground and pound. Korec controls Dias momentarily but Dias frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Korec can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dias controls the pace. Korec is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dias is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Korec has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dias can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dias got a little sloppy there for a moment and Korec has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dias has managed to get both his arms back between Korec's legs - danger averted. Dias controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Dias's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Dias throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Korec's waist but Korec gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dias off to one side. Korec looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dias looking to score a takedown here. Korec is defending well but Dias drives through and ends up in Korec's guard. Korec manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Korec controls Dias momentarily but Dias frees himself. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Diego Dias will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dias has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Korec uses from the top position. That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Korec accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Korec must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Korec gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Korec has a takedown stuffed. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Korec tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Korec tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dias swats him away and circles back towards the center. Vaclav Korec has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Diego Dias is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dias shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
And that's the end of the fight! Diego Dias showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dias, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
