Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnathan Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer has chosen Take it Outside as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnathan Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Palmer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lesnar is looking for a counter combo.
Palmer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Palmer wants it to stay on the feet.
Nice body punch from Palmer.

Lesnar gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Palmer pushes Lesnar back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Palmer trying to control the position but instead, Lesnar has worked for underhooks and has pushed Palmer into the cage.
Lesnar tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Palmer's elbow.
Lesnar fails to pull guard.
Palmer tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Palmer is leaning against Lesnar and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Palmer wants to stall.
Palmer throws a head punch that misses.
Lesnar manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

A right handed body shot lands from Palmer.
Palmer cracks Lesnar with a nice body shot.
Lesnar is trying to pull guard but Palmer turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Lesnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lesnar's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Palmer lands an uppercut.

Lesnar jumps into guard, dragging Palmer to the mat.
Palmer throwing strikes but missing.
Palmer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Palmer works over Lesnar with some ground and pound from guard.
Palmer stops Lesnar from standing up.
Lesnar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Palmer postures up in Lesnar's guard and throws a big left but Lesnar blocks it.
Palmer wants to stand and escape but instead Lesnar has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Lesnar cracks Palmer with a solid left hand.
Palmer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Lesnar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Palmer avoids it really well and circles away.

Palmer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Palmer misses with a punch to the body.
Palmer lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lesnar backwards.
Palmer lands a hook to the side of the head.
Palmer misses with a punch to the body.

Lesnar jumps into guard, dragging Palmer to the mat.
Palmer throws an elbow that misses. Lesnar uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Palmer's guard. Nice move by Lesnar!

We've been informed that Palmer has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Palmer wants to stand up but Lesnar is controlling him.

Palmer trying to keep a closed guard but Lesnar is proving a slippery customer.

Palmer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lesnar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lesnar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnathan Palmer dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Palmer punishes Lesnar's body with a nice straight punch.
A lazy left from Palmer finds it's target.
Lesnar could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Palmer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Palmer moves into range and connects with a jab.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lesnar or perhaps it was just good defense by Palmer, which made it look bad.
Palmer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lesnar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Palmer tries to bum rush Lesnar with a series of wild strikes but Lesnar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Johnathan Palmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lesnar drives through with a takedown into Palmer's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Lesnar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Lesnar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Palmer to the mat! Palmer manages to get full guard.

Palmer is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lesnar sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Palmer is looking to take a break and control but Lesnar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Palmer thows a huge punch but Lesnar dodges it nicely.

Palmer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Lesnar landing small, sideways elbows.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Palmer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lesnar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Palmer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnathan Palmer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Nice uppercut lands for Palmer. That snapped Lesnar's head back.
Left hook, right uppercut from Palmer.
Lesnar on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Palmer takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Palmer dodges the punch combination from Lesnar.
A little jabbing left from Palmer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and Lesnar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Good exchange - Palmer coming out on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lesnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Palmer circles away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lesnar's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Palmer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lesnar scrambles back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lesnar.

Palmer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Palmer cracks a nice hook into Lesnar's ribs.

Palmer has Lesnar up against the cage in a clinch.
Palmer makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Palmer lands with a light punch inside.

Lesnar has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Palmer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Lesnar is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Lesnar jumps guard but Palmer stands there with Lesnar around his waist. Lesnar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lesnar looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Palmer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Lesnar closes the distance looking to clinch
and Palmer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Alex Lesnar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Palmer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lesnar doesn't seem bothered though.
Lesnar has his takedown stuffed
and Palmer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lesnar tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Palmer counters with a nice body shot.

Palmer gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Lesnar can't get the takedown.
Alex Lesnar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Palmer blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Johnathan Palmer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Palmer winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
