Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simon Browne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reidar Vedhult (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Browne might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bloodsport for all !!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon Browne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Reidar Vedhult! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Browne fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vedhult on the side of the head. Browne will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
We've been informed that Vedhult has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Browne lands a nice shot that snaps Vedhult's head back.
Vedhult takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Browne gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vedhult to score an easy takedown into full guard. Browne working for submissions but it's allowed Vedhult to get to half guard.
Vedhult is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Vedhult is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Browne doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vedhult. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Browne is looking for a sweep. Vedhult is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vedhult is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Browne sees it coming and defends easily. Browne actively working from the bottom here. Browne looking for submissions off his back. Browne regains full guard. Nicely done. Vedhult postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Vedhult prevents Browne from improving his position. Browne looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Vedhult is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Browne gets full guard. Browne is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vedhult defends well. Browne is looking for a triangle but Vedhult pushes his legs off easily.
Vedhult trying to control but Browne is working from the bottom. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Vedhult stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Browne swivels though and keeps the full guard. Browne is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Browne pulls Vedhult in close to his closed guard and prevents Vedhult from doing any damage or advancing position. Vedhult wants to pass the guard but Browne is keeping the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Browne misses with a straight right. Browne fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Browne lands with an overhand left. Vedhult showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Browne.
Vedhult drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Browne defends it well. Browne throws a big shot that misses. Vedhult feints the counter takedown. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Browne scores with a kick to the body.
A swing and a miss from Browne. Vedhult keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Browne dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Browne lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vedhult circles away quickly and effectively. Vedhult takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Browne is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vedhult can do to turn this around? Vedhult fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Browne to the ground. Vedhult is now in Browne's guard. Browne keeping moving, preventing Vedhult from controlling successfully. Browne has his foot on Vedhult's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vedhult works his way back into a safe position though. Vedhult thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Vedhult's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Browne working for submissions but it's allowed Vedhult to get to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vedhult is pressing down on Browne's thigh, looking to free his foot. Browne is holding on for now. Browne looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Vedhult gets the takedown into side control. Browne is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Vedhult has hold of Browne's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Browne tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Vedhult cranks the arm and Browne screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Browne, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Reidar Vedhult! In defeat, Simon Browne stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well, fuck me ...'.
