PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bman Oloot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Bellchambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oloot's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bang Bang. Bman Oloot has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bman Oloot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve Bellchambers!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oloot moves into the clinch.

Oloot has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bellchambers postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Oloot's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bellchambers throws a strike aimed at the side of Oloot's head but Oloot avoids it well.
Oloot might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bellchambers has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Bellchambers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bellchambers jumps guard but Oloot stands there with Bellchambers around his waist. Bellchambers gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bellchambers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Oloot's waist but Oloot gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bellchambers off to one side.

Oloot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bellchambers on the ground.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Bellchambers gets control of Oloot's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bellchambers will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Oloot's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Bellchambers jumps guard and drags Oloot to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Bellchambers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Oloot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Bellchambers is looking to stand up but Oloot isn't so interested in that idea.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bman Oloot.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Oloot, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
