Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Burris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Egor Polishuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Egor Polishuk will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pierre Burris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Egor Polishuk! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burris gets tackled into the cage by Polishuk. Polishuk maintains the clinch. Burris could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Polishuk stalling.

Burris is trying to pull guard but Polishuk turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Burris misses with a hook to the ribs.

Burris works on Polishuk's body with a couple of short punches. Polishuk jumps guard but Burris turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Burris doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Burris moves into the clinch successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from Burris fails to land. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Polishuk. Burris is trying to drag Polishuk to the mat but Polishuk just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Burris. That's going to take a lot out of him. Polishuk is trying to break the clinch but Burris is controlling him. Burris has Polishuk pressed against the cage.

Polishuk is fighting off a takedown attempt but Burris is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Polishuk to the mat. Polishuk regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are working up against the cage. Polishuk manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Polishuk manages to pull guard.
Burris with a flurry of punches that miss. Polishuk thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Polishuk is trying to control the position but Burris postures up. Polishuk has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Polishuk looks winded! Burris throws a big elbow that misses. Burris has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Polishuk wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burris scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Burris is in close to Polishuk's body, working some short punches and elbows. Burris postures up in Polishuk's guard and throws a big left but Polishuk blocks it. Polishuk is trying to keep Burris in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Polishuk is on top in guard.
Burris keeping moving, preventing Polishuk from controlling successfully. Polishuk gets to his feet. Burris looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Burris avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Burris looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Polishuk fails in his attempt to clinch. Polishuk misses with a takedown attempt and Burris counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Burris taking a breather. Burris breaks from the clinch.
Polishuk looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burris is fending him off so far but Polishuk persists. Nope, Burris circles away and we're back to standing. Burris wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Polishuk tries for a takedown but Burris circles away easily and Burris counters with a head kick. That will keep Polishuk thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Burris swings wildly with an uppercut but Polishuk uses good head movement to avoid it. Polishuk tries to pull guard but Burris won't allow it.

Polishuk is trying to force a seperation but Burris has the dominant position. Polishuk is trying to push Burris away but Burris has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Burris misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Polishuk tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Burris just stands there and leans against the cage. Polishuk trying to control the position but instead, Burris has worked for underhooks and has pushed Polishuk into the cage. Burris can't get the takedown.
Polishuk looking for a takedown. Burris turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Burris is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Polishuk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Burris sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Polishuk is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Polishuk manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Burris thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Polishuk's head. Polishuk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Burris throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Burris stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Polishuk to get to his feet. Polishuk shoots and misses and Burris counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Burris trying to land knees to the body.

Pierre Burris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Burris is in close to Polishuk's body, working some short punches and elbows. Burris loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Polishuk looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Polishuk has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Burris has passed into side control.

Polishuk is looking to work some ground and pound but Burris has wrist control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Polishuk controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Egor Polishuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Polishuk fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Polishuk shoots and misses and Burris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Burris has Polishuk up against the cage in a clinch.

and Burris counters with a big head kick but Polishuk shrugs it off. Burris defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Polishuk. Polishuk just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromBurris. Burris instigates a clinch. Burris pulls Polishuk into guard.
Burris pulls Polishuk in close to prevent any damage. Burris has his feet on Polishuk's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Egor Polishuk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pierre Burris is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Burris clinches.
And that's the end of the fight! Pierre Burris showed his dominance in that final round. Well Burris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
