Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devin Jagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jagger fails with the takedown.
Smith is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jagger.
Smith throws a head kick but Jagger moves out of range.

Jagger instigates a clinch.
Jagger tries to throw a body punch but Smith avoids it by throwing Jagger back against the cage.

Smith goes for a takedown attempt but Jagger pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jagger tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jagger somewhat.
Jagger shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jagger tries to score a body lock takedown but Smith shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Jagger tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jagger throws a head kick that misses.
Jagger shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Smith throws a head kick but Jagger moves out of range.
Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jagger but Jagger pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Jagger counters with a nice double leg into side control. Smith won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Jagger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Smith's head.

Jagger is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Curtis Smith will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jagger is not content to let Smith control the position.
Jagger is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Smith off and has taken his back!

Jagger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Smith is looking to improve his position but Jagger isn't that keen on the idea.

Jagger goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Smith turns into him and now he's in Jagger's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jagger has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Smith seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Devin Jagger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Jagger shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jagger's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Smith jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jagger walks away with a smile on his face. Smith gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Smith leaves Jagger with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jagger tries to improve position but can't.
Smith tries to move to mount but Jagger blocks the move with his legs.
Jagger is trying to control Smith's posture but Smith avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jagger is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Smith is staying active.
Jagger tries to get back to half guard but can't.

You can see the frustration on Jagger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Smith decides to stand back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jagger pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jagger closes the distance and clinches.
Smith missing with knees to the body.

Jagger gets control of Smith's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jagger will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Smith stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Curtis Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Smith darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Jagger manages to escape and get back to his feet!

And that's the end of the fight!
Devin Jagger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
