Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Spotted Cow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Merik Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hunt's choice of entrance music: Comfortably Numb. Cow is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt misses with a hook.
Cow is breathing heavily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hunt. Cow does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hunt finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
An inside leg kick from Hunt misses.
Cow wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Cow throws a leg kick but Hunt moved away.
Hunt tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Cow tries to clinch up but Hunt circles away and keeps his distance.
Hunt closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cow quickly recovers to half guard.

Hunt shoots for a double leg takedown but Cow sprawls well. He's pushed Hunt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hunt cracks Cow with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Cow takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Hunt just misses with a punch to the body.

Hunt jabs Cow to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hunt throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hunt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hunt tries a head kick but it misses.

Hunt scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Hunt. Cow shrugs it off though.
Cow takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hunt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cow is rocked!
Hunt throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Oh Cow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cow walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hunt lands a leg kick that knocks Cow off balance momentarily.
Hunt throws a quick inside leg kick.
Hunt throws out a powerful jab.
Hunt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cow appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Cow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cow takes one to the side of the head.
Hunt drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Cow right on the button. Cow goes down! Hunt follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Hunt gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Merik Hunt!
A relieved looking Merik Hunt thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
