Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Medeiros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aiden Preston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Preston has chosen Fuckin Problem as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Jose Medeiros! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aiden Preston! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Medeiros takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Preston lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Medeiros moves out of range of the leg kick from Preston. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Preston.
Medeiros takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Preston lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Preston swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Medeiros. A combination from Preston does no damage. Medeiros shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Preston's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Preston wants to stand up but Medeiros is controlling him. Medeiros tries to free his leg and advance position but Preston is retaining full guard. Medeiros throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Preston avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Medeiros has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Preston keeping moving, preventing Medeiros from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Medeiros postures up in Preston's guard and throws a big left but Preston blocks it. Medeiros with a flurry of punches that miss. Preston wants to stand up but Medeiros is controlling him. Medeiros missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Preston wants to stand up but Medeiros is controlling him. Medeiros has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Preston, as that shot connected.
Preston throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Medeiros drops down looking for a counter takedown but Preston sprawls and moves away. Preston tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Medeiros lands with a hook. Preston tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Preston misses with a hook. Medeiros ducked under it nicely. Preston lands with a thumping leg kick.
A head kick misses from Preston. Preston throws a head kick but Medeiros moves out of range.
Preston tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Medeiros half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Preston scores with a jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Preston. Medeiros does a little dance to reset his feet. A slow jab from Medeiros misses its intended target. Medeiros fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Preston manages to avoid it. Jab, jab by Preston - just one landing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Preston lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Medeiros swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Preston throws out a counter right but Medeiros avoids it with no problem. Preston misses with a looping right. Medeiros feinted with a counter takedown. Preston just misses with a punch to the body.
Medeiros takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Preston throws a nice looking combination but Medeiros bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Preston misses with a straight left. Medeiros attempts a counter takedown but Preston avoids it well and moves away. Preston lands a front kick. A jab from Preston misses. Preston throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Medeiros counters with a nice double leg into side control. Preston won't be happy with that. Preston tries to escape but Medeiros is in control. Preston parries the strikes from Medeiros easily there. Medeiros is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Preston to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Preston tries to escape but Medeiros is in control. Medeiros misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Preston is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Medeiros asserts his dominance and retains side control. Medeiros throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Preston is pushing Medeiros's head away, looking to escape. Medeiros manages to hold on to the position though. Medeiros in side control, throwing shots but Preston defends. Preston is trying to stand and escape here. He's got onto all fours but that's just let Medeiros take his back! Uh oh - Medeiros has got a rear naked choke here! Preston is forced to tap! It's all over! One monent is all it takes in this sport!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jose Medeiros! During a confident post fight interview, Jose Medeiros thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
