Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Low Ki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nicko Shoota!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoota takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Shoota gets tackled into the cage by Ki. Ki maintains the clinch.
Shoota wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ki looking for a takedown.
Shoota tries to break the clinch but Ki is controlling the position.
Shoota is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ki lands a nice knee to the body.
Shoota misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Ki drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shoota pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ki is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Shoota looks winded!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ki lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Ki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ki thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Shoota if he has to take too many more of those.
Shoota sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ki ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Oooooh!!! Ki has knocked Shoota down with a huge combo! Ki steps away and waves a wobbly Shoota back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Shoota is rocked!
Ki clinches with his opponent.
Shoota is still on wobbly legs! Can Ki finish him?
Ki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ki closes the distance and clinches.
Ki breaks from the clinch.
Shoota wants to clinch but Ki slips to the side
and Ki counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ki rushes Shoota and presses him up against the cage.
Ki scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Ki manages to break the clinch.
Ki closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Shoota! Ki dives in looking to finish! Shoota is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Low Ki!
Nicko Shoota was interviewed post fight and said 'Thanks To My Fans For The Love And Soport And I Will Always Make It A Show You Win Some You Lose Some .But Lets See If I Cant Win The Rest From Here On Out.'.
