Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dragon Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Corll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corll is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: South Texas Death Ride. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dragon Slayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Dean Corll!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corll throws a hook but Slayer blocks it.
Corll misses with a straight left.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Corll has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Slayer scores with a jab to the jaw.
Corll throws a leg kick

and Slayer moves into the clinch.
Corll wants to get back to striking at distance but Slayer won't allow it.

Corll manages to break the clinch.
Slayer moves into range and connects with a jab.
Dean Corll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Corll keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Slayer throws a looping overhand right but Corll ducks down to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Corll lands an impressive looking overhand right. Slayer doesn't seem phased though.
That kick from Slayer tenderised Corll's leg. Corll is trying to keep his angry face on.
Corll throws a chopping leg kick but Slayer manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Corll jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Corll shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Slayer defends it nicely.
Slayer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Slayer crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Corll - the referee stops the clock and Slayer gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Corll. Slayer manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Corll lands a really nice looking cross but Slayer seems unphased.
Corll throws a front kick that sends Slayer stumbling back into the cage.
Slayer throws a front kick aimed at Corll's knee but Corll avoids it well.
The fighters circling - Slayer throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Corll dips to his left and cracks Slayer with an uppercut!
Slayer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Corll looks to land a body kick but Slayer moved away.
Slayer swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Corll looks to throw the jab but Slayer is out of range.

Corll lands a big uppercut and Slayer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Slayer looks OK. Corll waves Slayer back to his feet!


Slayer is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Corll finds Slayer's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Slayer flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Corll lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Slayer will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dean Corll!
Our winner, Dean Corll, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
