Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Branden Wooster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wooster comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jiu-Jitsu Song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Branden Wooster is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Palmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Branden Wooster!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer misses with a two punch combination.
Palmer lands a jab-cross combination.
Palmer displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Palmer looks to land a combination. Wooster sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A right-left combo lands from Palmer.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Palmer lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Palmer throws a series of strikes that have Wooster backpedaling.


Wooster is rocked!
Palmer keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wooster is still on wobbly legs! Can Palmer finish him?
Palmer throws a body shot but no joy.
Wooster seems to have recovered his senses.
Palmer works the jab nicely.
Some wild striking there from Palmer.
Wooster drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Palmer defends it well.
Palmer misses with a double jab

and Wooster counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wooster.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wooster seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Wooster slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Wooster wants to pass the guard but Palmer is keeping the position.
Wooster advances position into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooster controls the position from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wooster has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Palmer is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Wooster yanks on the arm and Palmer is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Wooster.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Branden Wooster!
Branden Wooster bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
