Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shinsuke Kushida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keisuke Nemoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keisuke Nemoto will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinsuke Kushida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keisuke Nemoto!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kushida closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kushida goes for a takedown attempt but Nemoto pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kushida shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kushida showed some decent athleticism there.
Nemoto pushes Kushida off but Kushida dives into side control.
Kushida controlling the position from side mount.
Kushida has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nemoto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kushida swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nemoto looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nemoto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
As Nemoto tries to get set, Kushida tries to push him back and clinch up but Nemoto manages to avoid the attempt.
Kushida closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nemoto's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kushida's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Kushida stands and throws Nemoto's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kushida remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kushida working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Nemoto avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kushida.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nemoto is looking to get back to his feet here but Kushida is keeping cool and he's managed to take Nemoto's back.
Kushida working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Nemoto is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Kushida has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Nemoto taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Shinsuke Kushida!
