Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthew McGinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ngoc Bamh!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bamh works the jab nicely.
Bamh throws a solid leg kick but McGinn takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bamh.

and McGinn counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McGinn.
Bamh is looking to break free of the clinch but McGinn has double underhooks.
Our sources have told us that McGinn has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Bamh is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
McGinn tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bamh's elbow.
McGinn blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bamh tries a body shot but McGinn blocks it.
McGinn misses with a knee strike.
McGinn lands a knee to the body.
McGinn with a knee to the head.


It looks like Ngoc Bamh has been cut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bamh takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGinn lands a knee to the head.
McGinn looks to throw an elbow but misses.
McGinn tries to land a knee to the head but Bamh blocks with his arms.
Bamh wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McGinn creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bamh's defenses.
Bamh on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
McGinn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bamh avoids it.

Bamh gets control of McGinn's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bamh will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
McGinn trying to control the position from guard on top but Bamh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bamh wants to sweep but no luck.

McGinn is sitting in close to Bamh's body. Bamh has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! McGinn is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, McGinn is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bamh.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ngoc Bamh!
Ngoc Bamh decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
