Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santos Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edward Smith is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edward Smith!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith drives through and clinches with Randall against the cage.
Randall tries to pull guard but Smith won't allow it.

Randall jumps guard and drags Smith to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Randall has a closed guard, preventing Smith from standing up.
Randall could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Randall is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Randall stops Smith from standing up.
Randall working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randall slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Smith is looking to stand back up but Randall counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Smith.
Smith is trying to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith wants to control but Randall is keeping busy.
Smith is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Smith wants to get back to his feet.
Smith wants to get back to full guard.
Smith is not content to let Randall control the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Smith is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Randall is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smith can do anything to dispel that myth.
Smith is holding on to half guard well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Edward Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Randall moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Randall seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Smith dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Smith throws a low kick, looking for Randall's leg but Randall calmly moves out of range.
Smith lands with a right hand.

It looks like Santos Randall has been cut.
Edward Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
BAM! Smith delivers a spinning backfist that drops Randall like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
