Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jaako Turkinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Blackwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jaako Turkinen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marvin Blackwell! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turkinen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Blackwell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Blackwell wants to counter with a clinch but Turkinen pushes him away. Turkinen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Blackwell is trying to break the clinch but Turkinen is controlling him. Blackwell is fighting off a takedown attempt but Turkinen is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Blackwell to the mat. Blackwell regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Blackwell controlling Turkinen's posture. Blackwell keeping full guard, as Turkinen tries to pass. Turkinen lands a couple of decent looking shots. Blackwell is looking for a triangle here but Turkinen uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Turkinen creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Turkinen in side control lands a decent elbow.
Blackwell is rocked! Turkinen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Blackwell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackwell tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Turkinen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blackwell keeps working. Blackwell is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Turkinen asserts his dominance and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turkinen working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Blackwell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Blackwell trying to remain calm as Turkinen controls from the top position. Turkinen looks up at the clock and then as Blackwell takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Turkinen smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Turkinen working the head with strikes. Turkinen in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Blackwell holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turkinen lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Blackwell down.
Turkinen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Turkinen is chipping away with strikes.
Turkinen advances to mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Turkinen raining down shots from the mount! Blackwell is trying desperately to improve position. Turkinen scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Blackwell?
Blackwell is still in real trouble! Can Turkinen finish him? Turkinen lands a big shot there that rocks Blackwell but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Blackwell tries to lock up and control but Turkinen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Blackwell tries to reverse the position but Turkinen maintains control. Blackwell seems to have recovered his senses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blackwell tries to hold on but Turkinen pushes him away. Blackwell is desperately trying to improve his position but Turkinen has a good base and remains in mount. Turkinen lands a nice shot to the head. Blackwell is bucking up trying to escape but Turkinen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blackwell is looking to get to half guard. Turkinen looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Turkinen controlling from the full mount. Turkinen is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Turkinen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jaako Turkinen! A relieved looking Jaako Turkinen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
