Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Black Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mairbek Krylov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Black Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mairbek Krylov!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman shoots in but no luck this time.
Krylov misses the jab.
Krylov scores with a nice head shot.
Coleman falls off balance throwing a combination
and Krylov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Coleman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Krylov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Coleman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Coleman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Krylov is looking for a sweep. Coleman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Coleman trying to control the action but Krylov is working from the bottom.
Coleman is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Coleman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Coleman content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Coleman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Krylov's head.
Coleman thows a huge punch but Krylov dodges it nicely.

Krylov felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Coleman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Krylov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Coleman is working away from the top position though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Coleman slips a nice elbow through Krylov's hands, connecting with Krylov's forehead.
Coleman working over Krylov with some ground and pound. Krylov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Coleman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Coleman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Krylov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krylov is looking to get back to full guard here but Coleman has managed to pass to side control instead.

Coleman looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Krylov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Krylov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Coleman trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Krylov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Krylov works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Coleman blocks a jab.
It looked like Coleman wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Krylov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Krylov lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

A punch lands to the side of Coleman 's head but he takes it in his stride.


It looks like Black Coleman has been cut.
Krylov looks to land a right hand but Coleman moved out of range.
Krylov circles away from the clinch attempt.
Krylov just misses with a punch to the body.

Coleman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Krylov to the mat! Krylov manages to get full guard.

Coleman postures up in Krylov's guard and throws a big left but Krylov blocks it.

Coleman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Krylov has momentary wrist control but Coleman slips an elbow through the middle.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Black Coleman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Krylov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Coleman with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Krylov to score with a decent uppercut.

Coleman darts in looking for a takedown but Krylov gets double underhooks and turns Coleman into the cage.
Krylov stuffs the takedown attempt from Coleman. Coleman gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Black Coleman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Krylov as he avoids it easily.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Coleman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Krylov quickly recovers to half guard.
Krylov is not content to let Coleman control the position.

Coleman throws a left and a right that both miss
and Krylov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown but Krylov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Black Coleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coleman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Krylov has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
A shot to the body from Krylov misses
enabling Coleman to counter with a crisp jab.
Coleman takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Krylov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


Coleman is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Krylov lands a body shot.
Krylov lands with an uppercut that bounces Coleman off the cage and back into range.
Oh Coleman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Coleman takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Krylov lands a brutal uppercut that launches Coleman off his feet! Coleman tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mairbek Krylov!
Mairbek Krylov seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
