PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keni Susi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the ring accompanied by Franklin's Theme Song. Susi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Metallica - Hero of the Day kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Keni Susi!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Susi circles away quickly and effectively.
Jackson tries to clinch up but Susi circles away and keeps his distance.
Susi keeps the fight on the outside.
Susi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Susi keeps the fight on the outside.
Jackson works Susi's body with a nice hook.
Susi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Susi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jackson throws a head kick but Susi moves out of range.
Jackson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Susi misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Franklin Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keni Susi.

Susi gets the takedown into side control.

Susi is trying to get an arm triangle but Jackson is defending well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Susi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jackson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Susi's guard! Nice work there by Jackson!
Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jackson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Susi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jackson advances to half guard.
Jackson passes the guard and advances to mount!

Jackson is going olschool here, as he tries to force Susi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Susi shrugs it off.
Susi is trying to escape the mount.
Jackson throwing strikes here but Susi is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Susi holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Jackson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Susi is working to get back to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Susi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Jackson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Susi turns into him and now he's in Jackson's guard.

Susi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Susi, into his guard.

Jackson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Susi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Susi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Susi has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jackson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Susi has tightened it up now! Jackson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
