Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ruy Sakura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Shmoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Shmoe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ruy Sakura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakura has closed the distance and engaged Shmoe in a clinch.
Shmoe on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Sakura tries to pull guard but Shmoe won't allow it.
Sakura prevents Shmoe from breaking the clinch.
Shmoe avoiding damage as Sakura throws knees to the body.
Shmoe tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Shmoe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Shmoe looks for a takedown but Sakura sprawls well.
Sakura drives through with a takedown into guard.
Shmoe looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sakura works over Shmoe with some ground and pound from guard.
Sakura showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Shmoe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sakura doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sakura manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sakura is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sakura thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sakura throws a big right hand that misses.
Shmoe had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sakura is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Shmoe Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sakura's back instead.
Shmoe has the hooks in. Sakura is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Shmoe looking to break Sakura's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Sakura remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Shmoe will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Shmoe is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Sakura defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sakura wants to control his opponent's hands but Shmoe gets his hands free.
Shmoe working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Shmoe tries to get the hooks in deep but Sakura pushed the leg off.
Sakura manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Shmoe is now in side control.
Shmoe working away.
Sakura is looking to reverse the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Shmoe tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Sakura counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shmoe won't be happy with that.

Sakura tries for a kimura but Shmoe is defending well.

Shmoe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sakura wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Shmoe shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Shmoe showed some decent athleticism there.

Shmoe passes to full mount!
Shmoe is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sakura can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Sakura wants to hold on but Shmoe pushes him away.
Sakura is wriggling around trying to escape.
Shmoe working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Sakura looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Shmoe! Submission of the night perhaps?
