Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Abbot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monsun Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Abbot has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Abbot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Monsun Moon!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moon moves out of range as Abbot strikes.
Abbot swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Abbot misses with a body punch
and Moon counters with a one-two to the body.
Abbot feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Moons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Moon slips a straight right by Abbot.
Moon works over Abbot's head and body with a nice combination.
Abbot throws a lazy right hand but Moon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Abbot misses with a hook. Moon ducked under it nicely.
Tony Abbot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moon throws a body punch but Abbot moves out of range.
Abbot throws a poor cross that misses
and Moon counters with a left to the body.
Moon misses with an uppercut
and Abbot counters with a stiff right hand.
We've been hearing reports that Abbot has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Moon enables Abbot to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Moon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Moon holds on and takes a little breather.

Abbot is looking for a triangle but Moon pushes his legs off easily.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Abbot throws the left hand but Moon avoids the punch easily.

Moon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Abbot's guard.

Abbot will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Moon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Abbot is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Moon is aware though and is defending well.

Moon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Moon decides to stand back up. Moon steps back and let's Abbot get back to his feet.

and Moon counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Abbot thinking.

Moon is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Abbot's half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Moon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Abbot is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Abbot has escaped and now he's on top!

Monsun Moon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well Moon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
