Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Renato Sobral is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Rush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Renato Sobral!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sobral's head.

Rush has closed the distance and engaged Sobral in a clinch.
Sobral is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rush gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Sobral has Rush pressed against the cage, preventing Rush from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sobral drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rush pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rush throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rush scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Adam Rush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rush has managed to clinch.
Sobral tries for a takedown. No joy.
Adam Rush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renato Sobral.
Rush wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sobral tries to score a body lock takedown but Rush shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sobral is trying to drag Rush to the mat but Rush just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Sobral is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Rush's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rush fails to land with a series of punches.
Sobral changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
A big left from Sobral misses.
Sobral looks to score with a jab to the body but Rush is just out of range.
Rush scores with the left hand. Sobral knows he should have avoided that one.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sobral. Rush does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rush scores with a sloppy right hand. Sobral should have avoided that one.
Rush pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sobral back to the cage. Rush follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Rush tries to clinch up.
Sobral misses the jab.

Rush clinches.
Rush prevents the takedown attempt.
Sobral is working for takedown but Rush is calmly controlling the position for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sobral changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rush fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A punch combination from Rush misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rush swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Sobral counters with a shoot takedown. Rush fights it but they end up in guard.
Sobral loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rush can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sobral controls the pace.
Sobral throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rush works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sobral distracts Rush with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sobral postures up in Rush's guard and throws a big left but Rush blocks it.
Sobral postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Sobral scoring with punches to the head and body.
Sobral is working Rush over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Rush keeping moving, preventing Sobral from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sobral scoring with some ground and pound.
Rush is breathing heavily.
Sobral lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Sobral stands up over Rush, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sobral landing with the ground and pound.
Sobral postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.


Rush is rocked!
Sobral gets to his feet and stands over Rush, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Rush felt that one! Sobral unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Rush from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Renato Sobral!
