Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lionel Lindsay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rui Rodrigo Germano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Germano comes into a darkened arena with his song building. HIM - Don't Fear The Reaper kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Lionel Lindsay is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Germano is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lindsay.
Lindsay jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Germano shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lindsay sprawls well. Lindsay wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Germano gets slowly back to his feet.

Germano paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Lindsay drops down looking for a counter takedown but Germano sprawls and moves away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Germano connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lindsay momentarily.

Germano fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Germano ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Germano no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Germano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lindsay gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lindsay drops back looking for a leg! Germano is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Germano manages to kick Lindsay off! Lindsay jumps back into Germano's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lindsay sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Germano's guard.
Germano wants to improve his position but Lindsay is controlling well.

Germano is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lindsay pulls his head out easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lindsay is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Germano sees it coming and defends easily.

Germano is pressing down on Lindsay's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lindsay is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lindsay accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Germano has his foot on Lindsay's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lindsay works his way back into a safe position though.
Lindsay has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Lindsay got a little sloppy there for a moment and Germano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lindsay has managed to get both his arms back between Germano's legs - danger averted.

Germano is looking to cinch up a triangle. Lindsay throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Germano's body to avoid the submission. Germano has instead reached around Lindsay's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Germano arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
