Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Terrence Beasley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jese Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romero has chosen King of Rock as his entrance music. Jese Romero will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terrence Beasley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jese Romero! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero gets a takedown into half guard. Beasley wants to get back to full guard. Romero is looking to stall here but Beasley recovers full guard. Romero trying to stand up but can't free himself from Beasley's guard. Romero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beasley swivels though and keeps the full guard. Romero must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romero is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Beasley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Romero trying to control the position from guard on top but Beasley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beasley looking for a sweep. Not yet Beasley, not yet. Romero stays in close to Beasley's body and controls the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Beasley tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Beasley clinches up against the cage. Beasley has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Romero regains guard immediately. Romero wants to stand and escape but Beasley is having none of it. Beasley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Beasley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Beasley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Romero seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Beasley content to stall in guard here. Romero tries to land a sweep but no joy. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Beasley closes the distance and clinches. Beasley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Romero is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Beasley's half guard. Beasley kicks Romero off and gets back to his feet. Beasley moves into range and clinches up with Romero. Romero is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Beasley can't fight it off and eventually Romero manages to take the fight to the floor. Beasley looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Beasley is looking to sweep but instead, Romero has passed into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Romero controlling the action here. Beasley tries to kick Romero off but Romero keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Beasley manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Romero preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beasley keeping moving, preventing Romero from controlling successfully. Beasley looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Romero puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terrence Beasley dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Beasley moves into range and clinches up with Romero. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Romero obliges. Beasley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Romero closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Beasley's guard. Beasley wants to get back to his feet but Romero passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Romero wants to take a breather but Beasley is having none of it. Romero performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Beasley regains full guard. Nicely done. Romero wants to control from the top but Beasley keeps moving. Beasley wants to sweep here but Romero controlling him for the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Beasley forces Romero back against the cage and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beasley turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Sloppy strikes there by Beasley. Beasley controls the position from side control. This is a sustained period of stalling by Beasley.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beasley continues to stall. An elbow from Beasley crashes against the mat.
Beasley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Beasley working the head and body with strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Beasley controls the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Beasley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Romero, pushing him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Beasley with a flurry of punches that miss. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Romero working a defensive guard but Beasley manages to pass into side control anyway.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. The fight moves into the clinch position. Beasley stalls. Romero being controlled against the cage. Romero works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Romero trying to control the position from guard on top but Beasley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Romero tries to free his leg and advance position but Beasley is retaining full guard. Beasley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Romero wants to pass the guard but Beasley is keeping the position. Beasley trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Romero trying to control but Beasley is working from the bottom. Romero looking to sit in guard and control but Beasley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terrence Beasley. Well Beasley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
