Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ilves fails to land the takedown. Diaz moves into range and connects with a jab. Diaz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ilves has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Diaz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Diaz working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Ilves fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Poli Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toomas Ilves. Ilves works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Ilves thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ilves passes easily into side control. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ilves tries for a kimura but Diaz is defending well. Diaz is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ilves is looking to take a break and control but Diaz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ilves looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Diaz is pushing Ilves's head away, looking to escape. Ilves manages to hold on to the position though. Ilves tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ilves has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ilves wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Diaz, who protects the arm well. Ilves is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ilves looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ilves is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Diaz looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ilves gets his head over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Diaz is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ilves lets go of the hold and Diaz can pop his arm back in it's socket.
