Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zeke Toobsnake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, OP Neto! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neto swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Toobsnake counters with a nice double leg into side control. Neto won't be happy with that. Toobsnake stands up and beckons Neto to his feet. Neto throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Toobsnake is looking to counter the offense by Neto and move into the clinch. Toobsnake fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Neto sprawls well initially but Toobsnake persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Neto tries to kick Toobsnake off in order to stand up. Toobsnake Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Toobsnake really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Toobsnake just content to control the position. Toobsnake landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Toobsnake remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Toobsnake has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toobsnake passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Neto! Neto is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Toobsnake locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Neto is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Zeke Toobsnake!
