Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doidelzen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Newell tries to bum rush Doidelzen with a series of wild strikes but Doidelzen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Newell moves into range and clinches up with Doidelzen.
Doidelzen gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Newell.
Newell wants the takedown. Doidelzen is fighting it off but Newell persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Doidelzen's guard against the cage.
Newell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doidelzen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Doidelzen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Newell tries to avoid it but Doidelzen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Newell to the ground. Newell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Newell had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Doidelzen is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Newell Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Doidelzen's back instead.
Doidelzen is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Newell looking to break Doidelzen's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Doidelzen remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Newell will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
