Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Pettersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Donalds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeff Donalds is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Pettersson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Donalds! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donalds takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Pettersson connects with a high kick. Donalds shoots in for a takedown but Pettersson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A head kick misses from Pettersson. Pettersson tries a head kick but it misses.
Donalds with the counter takedown but Pettersson avoids it easily. Pettersson tries to land a front kick but Donalds steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Pettersson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And Donalds tries to counter it with a takedown but Pettersson pushes his down on his head and steps out. Pettersson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Donalds checks a leg kick. Horrible takedown attempt by Donalds or perhaps it was just good defense by Pettersson, which made it look bad. Pettersson is looking for a counter combo. Pettersson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Donalds tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Pettersson throws a sloppy head kick and Donalds moves out of range easily. Pettersson goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pettersson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Donalds tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Pettersson throws a sloppy head kick and Donalds counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Donalds drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pettersson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Donalds has Pettersson in his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pettersson trying to control but Donalds is working from the bottom. Donalds looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pettersson is one step ahead there. Donalds keeping moving, preventing Pettersson from controlling successfully. Donalds pulls Pettersson in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pettersson cracks Donalds with a solid left hand. Donalds is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pettersson defends well. Pettersson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Donalds swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pettersson wants to control from the top but Donalds keeps moving. Donalds is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pettersson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Donalds is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Donalds wants to control but Pettersson is keeping him busy. Donalds is working for a submission of some sort.
Well, if Donalds is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Pettersson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Donalds on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Donalds maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Pettersson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Donalds has cracked it and Pettersson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Donalds!
