Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Janus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Seery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janus kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bodyjar - Not The Same. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hugh Janus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Patrick Seery! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Janus falls off balance throwing a combination
and Seery cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Seery with a hook. Janus needs to keep his hands up - Seery had a free shot at his head there. Seery misses with a wild body shot. Janus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Seery uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Janus. Seery stuns Janus with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Janus moves out of range of the leg kick from Seery. A big right from Seery misses. Janus attempts a counter takedown but Seery avoids it well and moves away. Seery keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Janus dives in for a single leg takedown but Seery sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hugh Janus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Janus tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Seery defends well and Janus ends up having to push Seery into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Janus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Janus goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Seery rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Janus's guard! Nice work there by Seery! Seery controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seery tries to free his leg and advance position but Janus is retaining full guard. Seery told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Seery is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Janus pulls Seery in close to his closed guard and prevents Seery from doing any damage or advancing position. Janus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Seery is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Seery's corner is telling him to maintain position. Janus looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Janus seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Seery must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Janus lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Janus trying to control but Seery is working from the bottom. Janus advances to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Janus seems to be working for a kimura but Seery defends the submission attempt. Seery blocking the ground and pound attempt from Janus. Janus is working for a submission of some sort.
Janus seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Seery does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Janus is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Seery is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Janus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Seery is just riding it out for now. Janus eventually gives up the hold. Janus is trying to work for a kimura but Seery is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Seery tries to roll over but Janus keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Patrick Seery will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Seery throws a big shot that misses. Seery keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Janus shoots in but no luck this time. Seery is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Janus with a body shot. Janus looks for a takedown but Seery sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hugh Janus. That's going to take a lot out of him. A swing and a miss from Seery. Janus shoots in but Seery avoids the takedown attempt easily. Janus shoots in for a double leg but Seery sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Janus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Seery. Janus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Seery's waist but Seery gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Janus off to one side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Seery ducks under a wild hook from Janus. Seery throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Janus blocks a head kick by Seery.
Janus walks into a straight right hand from Seery. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Janus is defended easily by Seery. A little jabbing left from Seery on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seery cracks Janus with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Seery has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Janus to stand back up!
Janus is rocked! Janus blocks a head kick by Seery.
Oh Janus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Janus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Seery sprawls well. Seery wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Janus gets slowly back to his feet. Janus seems to have got his legs back now. Janus misses with a straight right. Seery catches Janus with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Janus misses with a straight right. Hugh Janus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Seery lands a slapping body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Seery drops Janus with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Janus! Seery dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Seery! A very excited looking Patrick Seery rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. Hugh Janus spoke after the fight, saying 'Sorry to let all you cunts down and congratulations to my opponent, he's a mad cunt.'.
