Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jasman shoots in and bounces Bird off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bird could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bird wants to sweep here but Jasman controlling him for the moment.
Bird might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jasman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bird is working an open guard so Jasman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jasman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bird's guard.
Jasman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bird has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jasman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jasman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Bird on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jasman gets a clinch.
Jasman jumps guard and drags Bird to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Bird loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jasman pushes Bird off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jasman looking to score a takedown here. Bird is defending well but Jasman drives through and ends up in Bird's guard.
Jasman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jasman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jasman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jasman throws a big elbow that misses.
Bird wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jasman drops back looking for a leg! Bird is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bird manages to kick Jasman off! Jasman jumps back into Bird's guard.

Jasman decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bird, up you get!
Jasman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Jasman advances nicely into full mount.
Bird is desperately trying to improve his position but Jasman has a good base and remains in mount.

Jasman throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jasman throws a head kick that misses.

It looks like Danny Bird has been cut.

Jasman slips a jab and a cross from Bird.
Jasman tries a head kick but it misses.
Bird went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Jasman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bird tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bird throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Jasman happy to just control the position for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jasman tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Bird is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The strikes coming from Jasman are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Bird is letting Jasman control him for a moment.
Bird is looking for a sweep.
Jasman slows the pace down.
Jasman throws a strike aimed at the side of Bird's head but Bird avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jasman has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Jasman looking to control and managing it successfully.
Poor strikes thrown by Jasman there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Jordan Jasman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bird takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Jasman's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
