The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders has managed to clinch.

Sanders is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hansen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sanders tries to bum rush Hansen with a series of wild strikes but Hansen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
It looked like Hansen was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Hansen counters with a body kick.

Hansen moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hansen is defended easily by Sanders.
Hansen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sanders throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sanders on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sanders feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hansen is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Sanders presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Sanders keeps control of Hansen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sanders wants to get back to striking at distance but Hansen won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sanders tries to close the distance and clinch but Hansen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sanders has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hansen uses from the top position.

Hansen has momentary wrist control but Sanders slips an elbow through the middle.
Sanders gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Hansen is rocked!
Sanders stands and steps away. Hansen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Oh Hansen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sanders shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Sanders slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Sanders lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
