Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hans Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Weston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hans Kirby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Weston! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weston closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kirby sneaks out the side door and pushes Weston away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Weston looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Weston trying to control from half guard but Kirby is working away. Weston trying to control from Kirby's half guard. Kirby has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Weston wants to control from the top but Kirby keeps moving. Kirby looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Weston looking to pass the guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Weston closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kirby did well to prevent Weston getting side control.

Weston tries to stand and escape but Kirby is controlling the position. Weston not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kirby keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Weston is stalling here. Kirby is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Weston seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kirby has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Kirby is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Weston is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Weston tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kirby wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirby trying to control the action but Weston is working from the bottom. Weston sneaks back into half guard. Kirby looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Weston with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kirby is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Kirby will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Weston regains full guard. Nicely done. Weston wants to control the position but Kirby says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Weston controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kirby scoring with strikes to the body and head. Kirby throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Weston trying to control here.
Kirby is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Weston has managed to free his arm - good work. Kirby performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Weston moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hans Kirby will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Weston has managed to clinch.
Kirby really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kirby working aggressively here.
Weston is pressed up against the cage. Kirby has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Weston down to the mat. Weston avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Weston throws a right hand that misses
and Kirby counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Weston throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kirby shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Weston counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Weston wants to stand and escape but instead Kirby has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Weston is looking for a triangle but Kirby pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirby scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Weston wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kirby manages to pass to side control. Kirby wants to control but Weston is keeping him busy. Weston is trying to maintain the position but Kirby is very close to passing his half guard. Weston is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Weston wants to control but Kirby is keeping busy and won't allow it. Weston keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Weston is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Weston moves into full guard.
Weston thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Kirby stopping the sweep attempt from Weston. Weston is trying to control the position but Kirby postures up. Weston looking for a sweep. Not yet Weston, not yet. Kirby postures up.
Kirby connects with a couple of short punches. Kirby working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Weston not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weston looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Weston tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kirby counters with a nice body shot. Weston instigates a clinch. Weston missing with knees to the body.
Weston blocks an elbow strike. Weston gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kirby regains guard.
Weston looking to sit in guard and control but Kirby gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kirby won't allow Weston to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kirby makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Weston can do anything to dispel that myth. Kirby wants to control from the top but Weston keeps moving. Weston throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kirby uses it to pass to side control.
Kirby scoring with punches and elbows. Weston wants to get back to his feet. Kirby has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Weston tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kirby wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You can see the frustration on Weston's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Weston is looking to reverse the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but David Weston will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Kirby looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Weston drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kirby defends it well. Weston moves into the clinch. Kirby is trying to stall.
Weston has Kirby pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Weston pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kirby tumbling to the mat - Weston dives into Kirby's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Weston missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Kirby is working an open guard so Weston takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Kirby shoots in and bounces Weston off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kirby lands a couple of decent looking shots. Weston wants to get back to his feet but Kirby is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Weston wants to sweep but no luck. Hans Kirby overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weston is trying to control the position but Kirby postures up. Kirby working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Weston's head. Kirby stopping the sweep attempt from Weston. Kirby trying to control but Weston is working from the bottom. Weston working a defensive guard here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Weston closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kirby to the mat! Kirby manages to get full guard. Weston looking to sit in guard and control but Kirby gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kirby loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weston is trying to hold Kirby in close to prevent damage but Kirby has managed to pass into half guard.
Kirby stalling. Weston makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Weston. Weston wants to sweep but no luck. Kirby is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Weston manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kirby manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kirby keeping moving, preventing Weston from controlling successfully. Weston is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Weston is looking to advance position but Kirby has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kirby looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that's the end of the fight! David Weston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Weston has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
