Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Stone Flail!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Stanford!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanford misses with a jab to the body
and Flail counters with a three punch combo that has Stanford backing up. Stanford nods at Flail to acknowledge the strikes.

Flail throws a head kick but Stanford moves out of range.
Stanford comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Flail uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stanford.
Flail is looking to counter with head kicks.

Flail steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stanford.

We've been informed that Stanford has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Stanford is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Flail defends well.

Stanford is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Flail lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Stanford has his foot on Flail's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Flail works his way back into a safe position though.
Flail is looking to stand up but Stanford won't let him.
Stanford is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stanford pulls Flail in close to his closed guard and prevents Flail from doing any damage or advancing position.
Flail has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stanford is proving hard to escape from.

That was a close round but I would say that Stone Flail will probably get the nod.

Stanford throws a combination. Flail tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Stanford looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Flail goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stanford misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Stanford throws a left that rocks Flail and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Stanford dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Flail regain composure!

Oh Flail is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stanford working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Flail seems to have got his legs back now.
Flail is not content to let Stanford control the position.

Stanford is trying to get an arm triangle but Flail is defending well.
Flail wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Flail knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stanford on the ground.

Stanford wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Flail, who protects the arm well.

Stanford goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Flail rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Stanford's guard! Nice work there by Flail!

and Flail counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Stanford is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Flail pounces like a tiger and cracks Stanford with a vicious hook! Stanford is down but not out! Flail follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Stone Flail!
Stone Flail took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
